いつもメディコム・トイを応援してくださり、ありがとうございます。

新型コロナウイルス感染拡大防止のため、多くの方に楽しみにしていただいた
『MEDICOM TOY 25th ANNIVERSARY EXHIBITION』 は、お客様の安全を第一に考え、
ご入場いただける人数を絞っての開催となりました。

オンラインでの開催となった、『MEDICOM TOY EXHIBITION 2020 IN VIRTUAL』
から約半年――。

25周年という節目を迎え、私たちスタッフも
特別な想いで準備を進めておりましたので、
本来ならば、より多くのお客様にお楽しみいただきたかったのですが、
人数制限の実施により、会場へお越しいただけなかった
お客様が大勢いらっしゃったことには、
スタッフ一同、大変心苦しい思いでおります。

対策をしっかりと行った上での開催となったEXHIBITIONは、
先日無事閉幕いたしました。

EXHIBITIONは閉幕いたしましたが、会場の中がどうなっていたか、気になる！
という方々のため、ここではアフターレポートをお届けさせていただきます。
会場の雰囲気を、すこしでも味わっていただけたら幸いです。

なんといっても今年は、会社設立25周年というアニバーサリーイヤー。

表参道ヒルズ1Fエントランスにも開催記念商品が展示され、
吹抜け大階段にはBE@RBRICKの巨大バルーンが登場しました。

またレセプションと開催初日には、その吹抜け大階段で
横浜旗士道の皆様によるパフォーマンスが会場を盛り上げました！
EXHIBITIONのコンセプトである、“パリの架空の移動遊園地”ならではの演出です！

さて、EXHIBITION会場の「スペース オー」に参りました。



入口から一直線に抜けると、コンセプトに相応しく、
会場中央にドーンと置かれたこちら、
実際に乗車できるメリーゴーラウンド!! 驚かれた方も多いのではないでしょうか!?
まずは会場の空気に触れてみてください!!

そう思ったあなたは、もう、会場の中に居ます！(笑)

会場内へ皆様をいざなえたところで、展示エリアに移ります。

一つひとつのアイテムご紹介することは難しいのですが、
エリアごとにお見せしていきます。
それぞれ詳細は、このあとの発表や、発売日を楽しみにしていてくださいね！

まずはNEW ITEMエリア！MAFEXやUDF、そしてBE@RBRICKを中心に、
新作やこれから発売を予定しているアイテムを約500点展示しました！

続いて、MLEエリア！

展開してきた数々のアイテムの中から、テーマを定め、
選りすぐりのアイテムが並ぶ、アーカイブ特別展示エリア！

The report of MEDICOM TOY 25th ANNIVERSARY EXHIBITION

Thank you for all of your support for MEDICOM TOY.

To lower the risk of COVID-19 infection and prevent a disturbance at the venue,
“MEDICOM TOY 25th ANNIVERSARY EXHIBITION” was
held with a limited number of people for prioritizing the safety of customers.

Half of the year has passed since the online EXHIBITION last year,
“MEDICOM TOY EXHIBITION 2020 IN VIRTUAL”.

We had been working on it really hard to make our 25th anniversary special one,
so we really wished to invite customers as many as possible. However,
there was a limitation that we could hold at the event this time,
we regret that we couldn’t welcome all of the customers who were willing to come
and celebrate the anniversary with us.

Thankfully the exhibition taking proper measures for COVID-19 is over.

We are sharing the after report for those who are curious how
it was even though the event is over. We could be more than happier
if you could feel the atmosphere of the event.

As you all may know, this year is the 25th anniversary for us.

There were the commemorative products of the event showcased at
the 1st floor of Omotesando Hills center entrance.
And huge 7m-high BE@RBRICK balloons appeared in the big staircase.

Also at the reception and the 1st day of the event,
a flag performance by the big flag performance team “YOKOHAMA Kishido”
entertained the customers as the part of the event.
The performance expressed the concept of the EXHIBITON as
“The imaginary travelling carnival in Paris”.

You could find how powerful and energetic the performance it was even from the images!

We are really thankful for “YOKOHAMA Kishido” to provide us such a great performance

From the entrance, you could find the Merry-go-round along with the concept of the event,
which you could actually get on and have fun with. We assume that it might surprise you.
Hope you could feel the atmosphere of the venue.

Like an amusement park, there were the attractions that you could actually get great gifts.

You are now at the venue of the EXHIBITION! haha

Now we are moving on to display areas.

It’s a bit difficult to introduce every item one by one on the blog,
but let us show you there by each area.
We’ll share the details of them later so please stay tuned with us.

Here we come to the “New Item” area.
There were roughly 500 items showcased mainly with MAFEX, UDF and BE@RBRICK.
Some of them were already released recently but others would be scheduled in near future.

This is the “MLE” area.

And here we reach to the special archive display, where we wanted to show
you from the items thorough the entire 25 years of us along with the theme.
Some of you might expect eagerly what the theme of this year was.

In this year, we collected and displayed the items that related to the artist and celebrities
who have been working with us for long and answered the interview for
“MEDICOM TOY 25th MANUAL VOLUME IV”,
which was one of the commemorative items of this EXHIBITION.

You could learn and understand the background of the production from the interviews.
So we recommend you to have one for yourself, it’s really worth of it.

In addition to those fantastic showcases, we exhibited the items that we can’t describe our history without from many series of the items released during these 25 years. We could call those items as the commemorable collaboration.

For items that have been released, always making full use of the latest technology,
it contains the thoughts of all the people involved in the production.

The EXHIBITION was filled with lots of highlights other than that.
