ベアブリックをウェルカムベアとしてご利用いだだきました。
送っていただいた写真が本当に可愛いかったので
ご紹介させていただきます。

衣装はご自身で作られたと伺いましたが
非常に素晴らしいクオリティです。
販売商品の場合、ベアブリックに布の洋服を着せるのは
レギュレーション的にできないのですが
このような形でご利用いただけるのは嬉しい限りです。

WELCOME BE@RBRICK

Mr. Jin Katagiri, who supported us designing
BE@RBRICK before, has a friend
who just got married.  She is a stylist, and
at the wedding ceremony, BE@RBRICK was
chosen to be a WELCOME BE@RBRICK.
I want to show you the snap shots I got
because they are so cute.

I was told that these costumes are made by herself,
which the quality came out really excellent.
Though our regulation do not allow to retail
BE@RBRICK in a costume, I am very pleased
to see our products are being utilized in such way.

2011年冬のワンフェスが2月6日
幕張メッセで開催されました。
ビックサイトから会場を移して4回目となりますが
多くの造型ファンが集う一大ビックイベントです。

さてさて今回は我がメディコム・トイブースに
次長課長の井上さんとネゴシックスさんにお出でいただき
写真を撮らせていただきました!
大のオモチャ好きとの事、本当にありがとうございます。

イベントは、お客様のお顔を拝見できて、また
普段なかなかお会いできない同業の皆さんとも親睦を深められ、
とても楽しい1日を過ごすことが出来ます。

次回は7月24日(日)場所は同じく幕張メッセでの開催予定です。
私たちも既に次回の商品開発を鋭意進行中ですので

WONDER FESTIVAL

Wonder Festival 2011 Winter was held
in Makuhari Messe on February 6th.
It is the 4th open since they moved the venue
from TOKYO BIG SIGHT. 　It is indeed the
biggest event for figure fans to get together.

Well,well, at our MEDICOM TOY’s booth,
we had Mr. Inoue of Jichō Kachō and
Mr. Negoshix stopped by, and kindly
let us take their photos!
They said they are very fond of toys.
Thank you so much for visiting us.

I always enjoy spending a day in the event
because I can meet our customers in person,
and get closer to the people at  the other companies.

The next WONDER FESTIVAL will be held
on July 24th, in the same Makuhari Messe.
We are now diligently working on developing
the products for the next show.

各部署からスタッフが集まり
食事休憩も、全員で会議室でお弁当をいただく、
ほぼ2日がかりの集中ミーティングです。
発想につながる脱線も多々あり、長丁場ですが

Planing meeting

We regularly hold a planing meeting
every month. It is almost 2-day intensive meeting
which our staff from each section gather to discuss,
and even have lunch break at the meeting table.
Although the meeting is very long & tough and
make an excursion sometimes, it brings us
new ideas and many products are created here
which are eventually delivered to you.

a page of Mademoiselle AI’s astrology  in
“Zipper” magazine (March issue)
The illustration work is done by D[di:],
the artist I highly respect and admire.
I am so glad and happy to see how cute my cat is illustrated.

I had a meeting with a living legend of soft vinyl toy industry,
Mr. Saburo Ishiduki, President of BULLMARK.
Thanks to his friendly personality, I always
enjoy talking with him about projects.

The one we are working on will also be
announced within the next five month or so.

Mr. Godzilla Murao

Mr. Godzilla Murao is a professional model builder.
For more than ten years, we have been helped by him
in various matters. He always works out our
troublesome requests with no sweating on his face.
With Suga and Oka in the meeting,
one big project is proceeding now.

先日、舞台「時計じかけのオレンジ」を鑑賞してきました。
私は映画は勿論、原作もコミコミの
「時計じかけのオレンジ」好きなのですが、
舞台上で見事に作り上げられた世界観は
映画や、原作のエッセンスを拾いつつも
要所要所に独自の解釈が施されており、とても楽しめました。

今回、タイミング等の事情もあり、商品化は叶いませんでしたが
いつか商品化できれば良いなと思っています。

終演後、ムロツヨシくんと、小栗旬くんに会いましたが
ブログに慣れておらず、写真はすっかり忘れてしまいました。
またお会いする機会に。

A CLOCKWORK ORANGE

I had a chance to see the theater play
“A CLOCKWORK ORANGE” on the other day.
I am a huge fan of “A CLOCKWORK ORANGE”
not only the film but also the original novel.
And I enjoyed this stage very much as it has
nice flavor of the original novel/film as well as
its own comprehension of the work here and there.
Though the timing didn’t work for us to develop
its related products this time, I hope we can do
something with the work someday.

I met with Mr. Tsuyoshi Muro
and Mr. Shun Oguri after the stage.
Being a beginner blogger,
I totally forgot to take photo with them.
Let me try when I see them next time.

現在、大ヒット公開中のグリーン・ホーネット主演俳優
セス・ローゲンさんが遊びに来てくれました。
オモチャの趣味が近い事もあって、話が弾んで楽しかったです。

グリーン・ホーネット、試写はタイミングが合わなかったので
劇場へ行ってきます。早く観たいです。

Mr. Seth Rogen

Main actor of GREEN HORNET, the big hit movie now playing,
Mr. Seth Rogen came to visit our office.
As we share the same taste in toys,
I enjoyed having nice chat with him very much.

I missed the GREEN HORNET premiere show but I will
definitely go to see it at theater.
I can’t wait see it.

Greetings, my name is Tatsuhiko Akashi, CEO of MEDICOM TOY.
We produce BE@RBRICK, character figures, accessories,
and clothes etc.

2011 is going to be very special year to our company.
It is the 15th anniversary of MEDICOM TOY,
as well as the 10th anniversary of BE@RBRICK.
As to commemorate this anniversary year,
I had this opportunity to start the first official Akashi’s blog
for a year.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation
and my best regards to all those who had supported,
and will be supporting this 15 years of MEDICOM TOY
and the 10 year-old BE@RBIRCK.
We will push ourselves further in this year
to serve the best service. Please look forward to it!

Although its been already a month since
2011 started, I wanted to share with you that
we had beautiful sunrise on New Year’s Day in Tokyo.
