Anne Valerie Dupond’s New Exhibition “Bestioles” Opens Tomorrow!

We are delighted to announce that Anne Valerie Dupond’s new exhibition “Bestioles”
will open tomorrow, Saturday, November 29, at MEDICOM TOY PLUS.

Titled “Bestioles”—a French term affectionately referring to
curious little creatures—this exhibition brings together 113 new works,
including textile sculptures inspired by animals—a theme central to
her artistic origins—ONE OF KIND BE@RBRICK 1000%, and floral-and-animal brooches.

A selection of works will be available for purchase at the venue, along
with limited-edition items created to commemorate the exhibition.
We invite you to visit MEDICOM TOY PLUS and encounter these quietly whimsical
“creatures” during this limited exhibition period through Sunday, December 14.

At MEDICOM TOY PLUS, a portion of the artworks displayed in Anne Valérie Dupond’s new exhibition “Bestioles（https://www.medicomtoy.co.jp/information/bestioles.php）,” held from Saturday, November 29 to Sunday, December 14, will be available for purchase at the store.
To prevent congestion and ensure a smooth experience for all visitors, guests wishing to purchase artworks on Saturday, November 29 are asked to review the following guidelines before their visit.

Important Notes Regarding Artwork Sales on Saturday, November 29 (Please Read Carefully)
•Please refrain from waiting or gathering around the store before 10:00 on the day of the event.
•To prevent inconvenience to neighboring stores and avoid any trouble, purchase tickets (entry order tickets) will be distributed prior to opening to customers who are in line at 10:30.
•Purchase tickets will be distributed by lottery.
　Your purchase order will be determined by the lottery results, not by the order in which you line up at 10:30.
•Purchase tickets will be distributed at the following location (in front of the West Building entrance of Omotesando Hills).

•As all artworks available for purchase are one-of-a-kind pieces, please note that holding a purchase ticket does not guarantee that you will be able to buy the specific artwork you desire.
• We do not accept returns or exchanges due to customer preferences after purchase.
•Smoking, drinking alcohol, or any behavior that may disturb other customers while waiting in line is strictly prohibited.
•Please refrain from reserving spots using chairs, bags, or other items, as well as leaving the line for extended periods.
•Please follow the instructions of the staff while waiting in line.
•Should the store observe any problematic behavior—such as the exchange of money or goods, soliciting, or any similar activity—we may refuse the sale.

Anne Valerie Dupond (アン・ヴァレリー・デュポン) による新作展示会
「Bestioles (ベスティオール)」を、11月29日(土)から12月14日(日)まで、
「MEDICOM TOY PLUS」 にて開催いたします。

Anne Valerie Dupondは、古着やヴィンテージファブリック、レースなどの素材を
針と糸で縫い合わせ、動物や人物を再構築するテキスタイル彫刻家です。
固定観念や美の概念にユーモラスかつ風刺的にアプローチする作風で知られ、
25年以上にわたりアートとファッションの領域を横断した活躍を続けています。
メディコム・トイとは2019年よりコラボレーションを重ね、ハンドメイド作品
「ONE OF KIND BE@RBRICK 1000%」 をこれまでに100点近く発表しています。

Anne Valérie Dupond is a textile sculptor who reconstructs animals and human figures by stitching together vintage fabrics, lace, and other found materials.
Known for her humorous and satirical approach to conventional notions of beauty, she has worked across the boundaries of art and fashion for more than 25 years.

Since 2019, we have collaborated with Anne Valérie Dupond on nearly 100 handmade works in the “ONE OF KIND BE@RBRICK 1000%” series.
Titled “Bestioles”—a French term affectionately referring to curious little creatures—this exhibition presents 113 new pieces, including textile sculptures inspired by animals, ONE OF KIND BE@RBRICK 1000%, and floral-and-animal brooches that embody the essence of her artistic universe.

A selection of works will be available for purchase at the venue, along with limited-edition items created to commemorate the exhibition.
On the opening day, Anne Valérie Dupond herself will be present at the venue, offering a live demonstration of her creative process and the opportunity to engage with visitors.

Through materials imbued with traces of everyday life, Anne Valérie Dupond breathes new life into memory and texture.
Her quietly warm and endearing “creatures” will inhabit MEDICOM TOY PLUS this winter—inviting visitors to discover their own connection to these whimsical beings.

BE@RBRICK WORLD WIDE TOUR 3 in Seoul will be holding!

Starting from Shibuya, Tokyo—the birthplace of BE@RBRICK—BE@RBRICK WORLD WIDE TOUR 3 continues its journey, adding unique works to each city’s “GARDEN.”
The next destination of this exhibition, which gathers together art pieces created on 1000% BE@RBRICK figures each standing approximately 70cm tall, has been confirmed as Seoul, Korea!

Following Tokyo, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Shanghai, and Taipei, BE@RBRICK WORLD WIDE TOUR 3 in Seoul will mark the sixth stop of the tour. Co-hosted with MOVE INTERACTIVE, it is scheduled to be held from Wednesday, October 1 to Tuesday, October 21, 2025.

The venue will be The Hyundai Seoul, a new landmark in Yeouido that has drawn attention as a hub of Korea’s cutting-edge trends, offering an open space in harmony with nature.

With the participation of 11 new artists from around the world, more than 120 creative BE@RBRICKs will gather in a special three-week “GARDEN,” inspired by a contemporary reinterpretation of a traditional Korean garden.

This autumn in Seoul—the entertainment capital that captivates the world—look forward to a special encounter with BE@RBRICK!
