渡辺祐さん、山田玲奈さんがナビゲーターを務める番組で、
エキシビションの告知をさせていただきました。

ラジオは20代の頃、番組制作のお手伝いといった仕事をした事もあったので
久しぶりに収録スタジオに入り、おしゃべりをさせていただき、とても楽しかったです。
J-WAVE「RADIO DONUTS」という番組内の「LIFE IS A GIFT」コーナーで、

I had a opportunity to introduce our Exhibition at a radio program
which is navigated by Mr. Tasuku Watanabe and Ms.Rena Yamada.
The photograph is Ms.Ozaki  the writer.
When I was 20’s,  I used to worked with some radio production.
Therefore,  I enjoyed coming back to such radio station and talk in the show.
The corner I was invited this time is called “LIFE IS A GIFT” within a program
called “RADIO DONUTS” on J-WAVE airing from 10:10AM on Saturday, July 30.

匠の師匠、菅野さんの御呼ばれで、ミハラヤスヒロさん、上原ひろみさん
オープナーズの松本さん、当社の須賀泉水と、お邪魔してきました。

精密な飛行機などのパーツを作る事をご本業にされている菅野さんですが
鉄と皮革という、まるで正反対の特性を持つ素材を掛け合わせた鞄なども
エアロコンセプトというブランドでセミオーダーメイドスタイルで作られており、
その優美なフォルムと機能に一目ぼれして、鞄を1つオーダーをしてきました。

菅野さんのご厚意で御馳走になったお食事は
様々な食材を燻製にしたマダムせい子さん手作りのもので、
これまでに食べた事も無いような美味は多分、生まれて初めてというくらい
燻製された食材を堪能した1日でありました。

MEISTER

By the invite of meister Mr Sugano,  I visited him together with
Mr. Yasuhiro Mihara, Ms. Hiromi Uehara, Mr. Matsumoto of OPENERS,
and our Izumi Suga.

While Mr. Sugano’s profession is to make precision parts for airplanes and so,
he also runs a brand called AERO CONCEPT which produces Semi-order made
bags and accessories. His products are made of steel and leather,
the combination of totally opposite elements. I ordered one bag as
I was fascinated by the adorable design and function.

Mr. Sugano treated us variety of smoked food cooked by Madame Seiko.
They are so delicious that I have never experience before.
It was the best day I enjoyed smoked food that much in my life.

毎年、7月の第一週になると当社のエントランスには笹が飾られます。
この笹の短冊にスタッフが願い事を書くのが、毎年の習慣になっています。
早朝まで仕事をした後、7日の明け方に
スタッフの書いた願い事を1枚ずつ読むのを楽しみにしています。
家族の事、会社の事、自分の事、願いは人それぞれですが
数十文字の記述から、スタッフの人柄が分かるような気がするのです。

TANABATA, the Star Festival

In the first week of July, bamboo is displayed
in our office entrance every year.
It becomes the annual custom that our staff write wishes
to the strip of paper which go on this bamboo display.
After having worked until an early morning of the July 7th,
I look forward to reading each wish that they wrote.
There are variety of wishes such as about family,
about the company, or about oneself.
I feel like understanding each of their personalities
by reading the dozens of letters..

原宿ポールスミスギャラリーで開催された
ザリガニワークスのレセプションにお邪魔してきました。
武笠さん、坂本さんとも、それぞれが異なる魅力を持った
異色のコンビ、ザリガニワークス。
お二人の魅力は勿論ですが、彼らをマネージしてる
近藤さんの手腕もとても素晴らしいと思います。
コレジャナイロボ以降、しばらくお仕事はご一緒していませんが、
近々にコラボのお披露目が出来ると思いますので、
楽しみになさっていてください。

Zarigani Works reception

Zarigani Works held their reception at Paul Smith Gallery in Harajyuku,
and I visited there.  Zarigani Works is name of the team by
Mr. Takekasa and Mr.Sakamoto. They are both charming person
in unique way to each other,  which makes the team so unique.
Also, while their attraction is one thing, their management Mr. Kondo
is another remarkable person.
Though Its been a while since we had worked with them at Korejyanai Robot,
it seems we are going to announce new collaboration soon.

President Mr. Shitara’s birthday

I visited BEAMS to cerebrate Mr. Shitara’s birthday.
I have been familiar with his great achievement
in the business scene.
Many of businessmen who succeeded like himself
are really gently and casual.
I do my best everyday so I can also be like them.

震災の影響もあって順延したroomsLINKが
先日、無事開催されました。
異業種からの参戦という事もあってか、
多くのファッション関係の皆様にご来場いただき感謝しています。
既にこの展示会から派生したビジネスも幾つか動き始めており、

roomsLINK exhibition

roomsLINK, which had been postponed
due to the earthquake, was finally held.
Many guests from fashion industry stopped by
our booth maybe it was because we are from different industry.
I appreciate very much for their visit.
Some business projects had already been started from this exhibition.
I can’t wait to show the result to you all.
FABRICK is also going to make evolution
by Watanabe and Suga as key persons.

一見、何も接点の無いように見える3人ですが
コンテンツやプロダクツの在り方について
各々が独自の視点を持ち、どんな風に未来を創るか
時折、意見交換をしたりしています。
馬鹿話も含め、色々な角度から語り合える大切なブレーンです。

CCP visited our office

Mr. Endo of CCP, and Mr. Sugahara the Illustrator
came to visit our office.
Although this team may seem to have
little connection to each other,
we do in fact get together once in a while to
discuss prospective vision of contents and products
from each unique point of view.
Including silly talk, the team is valuable to discuss in many aspects.

4月にMAX TOYさんの5周年記念レセプションパーティーに
お招きいただきました。
会場には、これまでの5年間の歴史を遡る沢山のソフビと
同社代表であるマークさんの考案したキャラクターをベースに
各分野のアーティストの皆さんが創られたアート作品が並んでおり
非常に楽しい空間でした。
顔馴染みの皆様にもお会いできて、とても楽しかったです。

MAX TOY’s 5th Anniversary Reception Party

In April, I was invited to MAX TOY’s
5th Anniversary reception party.
At the venue, there were numbers of vinyl figures
from their five year-history, as well as
art pieces by various artists which were worked on
the original character designed by Mr. Mark,
the representative of the company.
It was truly fun space to be in.
I also enjoyed very much to see some people whom I know well..

赤司ブログ、かなり時間が経過してしまいましたが再開します。

6%DOKIDOKIのディレクター、増田セバスチャンさんと
継続的にミーティングをしています。
先達て初めてお会いしたのですが、とても聡明な方で話が弾みました。
藤子先生の作品がとてもお好きとのことで
会議室にあるドラえもんにとても喜んでいただけて、私も嬉しかったです。

この後もミーティングを重ねていきます。
新たなプロジェクトの発表も近いかもしれません。

Mr. MASUDA SEBASTIAN

Though its been a while, AKASHI Blog is now re-starting.

I have been continuously meeting with Mr. Masuda Sebastian,
director of 6%DOKIDOKI.
We actually met each other very recently.
He is very clever person, and our meeting goes very well.
He is a great fan of Fujiko Fujio, and enjoyed our Doraemon figure
displayed in our showroom,  which made me happy too.

Our meeting continues.
The announcement of new project may be soon.

また様々な方々と事々をアップして参ります。

さて、VCD FELIX THE CATでお仕事をさせていただいた
フィリックスの3代目作者
ドン・オリオロさんがいらっしゃいました。
とても気さくなお人柄で
写真はどれにしようか迷うほど表情があるものばかり、
ミーティングも終始和やかに進行しました。

今年もまたご一緒できそうで、楽しみです!
いいものを作っていきたいと思います。

Mr. Don Oriolo

Though its been a while, I would like to begin
introducing many people whom
I had been meetings with, starting from
a meeting with Mr. Don Oriolo in March.

Mr Don Oriolo, the third original writer of
Felix the Cat whom we worked together
on our VCD FELIX THE CAT, had visited us.
He is such a friendly person and
there are so many good pictures of him from
the meeting to choose for the blog posting.
Our meeting was very pleasant all the time.

I’m very excited as we seem to be
working together again this year!
I hope this will be a good product again.
